TruePresence

Discover Your Calling. Develop Your Strengths. Live Your Purpose.

Immediate, accessible pathways to human flourishing through our innovative STEP model with both scientific understanding and the transcendent dignity of every person.

Our Foundation

TruePresence was developed in partnership with Divine Mercy University, a Catholic graduate school in Virginia. We believe every person is created with inherent goodness, unique strengths, and a transcendent calling toward virtue, meaningful relationships, and purposeful service. Yet we also recognize that life brings struggles — anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and crises of meaning that can obscure our path to flourishing.

Divine Mercy University offers two components to a parish-based model that is to be customized by each parish. The first component is decades of learning available in our learning center. The second is the TruePresence app designed to be a tool for every member of the parish for free.

Community-Centered Care: Recognizing that we flourish in relationship with others and through authentic communion within our faith communities. TruePresence is made to work within the existing ministries in the parish.

Strengths-Based Approach: Building on your inherent capacities and natural gifts while addressing challenges within the context of your unique calling.

How We Help People Flourish

The Best of Modern Psychology, Rooted in Your Faith — Researchers have learned a lot about what helps people thrive — building resilience, finding purpose, staying connected. At Divine Mercy University we know that well intentioned secular researchers can only see part of the picture. Your faith reveals the rest: who you are, why you're here, and where your deepest healing comes from. We bring both together.

You Can Get Back Up — Research shows people can learn to handle setbacks. Faith says: you can get back up because you were never broken at the core. You are made in God's image, and no amount of suffering can destroy that.

You Need to Know You Matter — Research says people who feel their work and life make a difference are happier. Faith says: You don't matter because of what you produce. You matter because God made you, knows you by name, and has called you to something only you can do.

You Weren't Made to Do This Alone — Research shows strong relationships are among the best predictors of wellbeing. Faith says: You were made by love and for love. Relationships aren't just helpful — they're what you're for.

Your Strengths Are Meant for Something — Research shows people thrive when they use their unique strengths. Faith says: Strengths become virtues when you aim them at the good. Patience, courage, generosity, faithfulness — these make you the person God created you to be.

"You don't have to choose between good science and deep faith. The best research confirms what the Church has always taught — that you are made for love, made for purpose, and made for God. We're here to help you live that out."
